W Polsce studiuje 57 119 studentów ze 157 krajów
W Polsce studiuje 57 119 studentów zagranicznych ze 157 krajów, czyli o ponad 10 tysięcy więcej niż w roku poprzednim. To wzrost o ponad 23 procent.
Co ciekawe, Wzrost współczynnika umiędzynarodowienia wynika nie tylko ze wzrostu liczby obcokrajowców, ale również ze spadku ogólnej liczby studentów w Polsce. Bezprecedensowy jest napływ studentów z Ukrainy. Według najnowszych danych GUS, w tym roku akademickim studiuje ich u nas już 30.589 – czyli o 7197 więcej niż rok temu. Stanowią oni już ponad 53 procent ogółu studentów zagranicznych w Polsce. Młodzi Ukraińcy studiują na różnych kierunkach. Na etnofilologii kaszubskiej naukę podjęła na przykład studentka z Zaporoża. Drugą największą grupę studentów zagranicznych w Polsce stanowią Białorusini, jest ich 4615, na kolejnych miejscach są Norwegowie – nieco ponad półtora tysiąca, Hiszpanie – 1407 i Szwedzi – 1291. W roku akademickim 2015/2016 ponad 83 procent ogółu studentów obcokrajowców przyjechało do Polski z Europy.
