Wejherowo w projekcie „Pomorskie Szlaki Kajakowe – Meandry Północy”
Wejherowo włączy się do projektu Pomorskie Szlaki Kajakowe – Meandry Północy – zdecydowali miejscy radni na ostatniej sesji. Przy pomocy unijnych środków chcą uatrakcyjnić miasto dla turystów – wodniaków.
– Całą inwestycja zostanie zrealizowana bez szkody dla środowiska – zapewnia Beata Rutkiewicz.
Meandry Północy to projekt którego celem jest uporządkowanie wodnych tras turystycznych i udostępnieni ich w zorganizowany sposób miłośnikom kajakowych spływów. W powiecie Wejherowskim dotyczy on rzeki Redy, a udział w nim biorą m. in. miasto Reda czy liderująca przedsięwzięciu gmina Wejherowo.
W ramach projektu samorządowcy z Wejherowa chcą wybudować dwie przystanie kajakowe na rzece Reda:w okolicach mostu przy ulicy Ofiar Piaśnicy oraz przy cementowni. W pierwszej lokalizacji ma zostać zmodernizowana infrastruktura dla turystów, m.in. ławeczki, zadaszenie i parking na kilka samochodów, w drugiej – wygodna ścieżka do przeniesienia kajaków. Aby przystąpić do projektu wejherowscy samorządowcy muszą zdążyć z formalnościami i uzyskać pozwolenie na budowę do końca bieżącego roku.
