Od pytania „Po co światu Kurdowie?” rozpoczął się cykl literackich spotkań autorskich w Muzeum Emigracji w Gdyni.
Tematem przewodnim spotkań jest los osób, które zostały zmuszone do opuszczenia własnej ojczyzny, będą się odbywały co miesiąc. Jako pierwszy o swojej książce „Zielone Migdały, czyli po co światu Kurdowie?” opowiedział Paweł Smoleński. Frekwencja mile zaskoczyła organizatorów. Paweł Smoleński jest reporterem i publicystą. Opisuje iracki Kurdystan i mieszkających w nim Kurdów, naród doświadczony ludobójstwem – ale i otwarty, wyznający Islam – ale nie fanatyczny. Jego historię opowiada przez pryzmat zwykłych osób.
Kolejne spotkanie literackie w Muzeum Emigracji odbędzie się w marcu. A na pytanie „Po co nam Kurdowie” będziemy próbować odpowiedzieć jeszcze dziś w audycji na Widniku Kaszëbë. Po godzinie 15 zaprezentujemy wywiad z Pawłem Smoleńskim oraz fragmenty jego powieści.
