Eugenia Drawz laureatką Gryfa Literackiego 2015. Po jej książkę “W cieniu Piaśnicy” najchętniej w minionym roku sięgali czytelnicy w powiecie wejherowskim.
Ta prestiżowa nagroda przyznawana jest co roku przez laureatów poprzednich edycji i bibliotekarzy z całego powiatu, a konkurs organizuje Biblioteka Miejska w Wejherowie. Jury doceniło autorkę za ciekawe i oryginalne ujęcie historii regionu. Książka dotyka trudnego i ważnego tematu w sposób dotąd nie praktykowany – ocenia dyrektor wejherowskiej biblioteki, Danuta Balcerowicz.
“W cieniu Piaśnicy” to oparta na faktach, fabularyzowana historia mieszkanki Wejherowa, która wyjechała do Niemiec pracować jako opiekunka starszego mężczyzny – byłego członka SS, który wydawał wyroki śmierci na Polaków, w tym także na ojca swojej opiekunki.
– Do opisania tych wydarzeń zainspirowało mnie przypadkowe spotkanie z tą panią – mówi Eugenia Drawz.
Gryfa Literackiego przyznano już po raz dziesiąty.
