W Kartuzach uczczono 96 rocznicę wkroczenia Błękitnej Armii generała Józefa Hallera do miasta. Lokalny samorząd i Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko-Pomorskie chce by wydarzenia z lutego 1920 roku pozostawały żywe w pamięci Kaszubów.
– Nie była to jednak niepodległość bez zgrzytów – mówią Grzegorz Gołuński, burmistrz Kartuz, Tomasz Fopke i Bernard Hinc z Zarządu ZKP.
Przejęcie Pomorza przez generał Józefa Hallera, który 10 lutego dokonał zaślubin z morzem, obchodzone jest na Kaszubach niczym drugi Dzień Niepodległości. 9 lutego wojsko gen Hallera udało się do Wejherowa, a stamtąd do Pucka, gdzie pociągiem dojechał z Torunia gen. Haller ze świtą starszych oficerów i dyplomatów, by uroczyście ustanowić polską granicę nad Bałtykiem. To wydarzenia zostanie upamiętnione w Pucku w najbliższą środę. W obchodach 96 rocznicy Zaślubin z Morzem weźmie udział Prezydent Rzeczpospolitej Andrzej Duda.
