Obchody 45 rocznicy Wydarzeń Grudniowych
Zarząd Regionu Gdańskiego NSZZ „Solidarność”, prezydenci miasta Gdańska i miasta Gdyni, Instytut Pamięci Narodowej – Oddział w Gdańsku i Europejskie Centrum Solidarności zapraszają na uroczystości z okazji obchodów 45 rocznicy Wydarzeń Grudniowych.
45 lat temu – 15 grudnia 1970 roku – robotnicy ze Stoczni Gdańskiej im. Lenina ogłosili strajk powszechny, do którego przyłączyły się inne gdańskie przedsiębiorstwa, robotnicy ze Stoczni im. Komuny Paryskiej w Gdyni oraz pracownicy elbląskiego Zamechu. Bezpośrednią przyczyną strajków była wprowadzona 12 grudnia podwyżka cen detalicznych mięsa, przetworów mięsnych oraz innych artykułów spożywczych. Komunistyczna władza wysłała przeciwko strajkującym wojsko. Polała się robotnicza krew.
Obchody 45 rocznicy wydarzeń grudniowych w Gdańsku zaplanowane zostały na 16 grudnia o 16.15 pod tablicą pamiątkową na budynku byłego Komitetu Wojewódzkiego, a następnie o 17.00 w kościele św. Brygidy skąd, po mszy świętej nastąpi przemarsz pod pomnik poległych stoczniowców. W Gdyni ofiary Grudnia 70 uczczone zostaną 17 grudnia o godzinie 6 rano pod pomnikiem przy przystanku SKM Gdynia Stocznia.
