Pływalnia olimpijska powstanie w Gdyni
W Gdyni powstanie pływalnia olimpijska – pierwszy tego typu obiekt na Pomorzu. Ma się mieścić w sąsiedztwie stadionu miejskiego przy ulicy Olimpijskiej.
50-metrowy basen w miarę potrzeb będzie można podzielić na dwie 25-metrowe części. Na pływalni znajdzie się też basen rozgrzewkowy i strefa rekreacji dla najmłodszych ze zjeżdżalniami i brodzikami. W planach jest też miejsce do odnowy biologicznej, które pomieści sauny, gabinety masażu i rehabilitacji. Gdyńskie Centrum Sportu planuje również utworzenie Punktu Informacji, w którym będzie prezentowana oferta sportowa Gdyni. Pływalnia olimpijska ma łączyć funkcje: sportową, rekreacyjną i edukacyjną, ma być dostępna nie tylko dla sportowców ale też dla mieszkańców regionu. Służyć ma temu lokalizacja w centrum Gdyni, blisko przystanków: kolejowego i komunikacji miejskiej.
Prace nad dokumentacją projektową rozpoczną się w przyszłym roku, całkowity koszt inwestycji oszacowano wstępnie na 70 milionów złotych. Władze Gdyni chcą pozyskać dofinansowanie zewnętrzne. Wraz z jego otrzymaniem ma się rozpocząć budowa, która potrwa 3 lata. (Foto: Gdyńskie Centrum Sportu)
