– Mocne strony nowego budynku to dobra lokalizacja, jest w niej kącik dla najmłodszych miłośników literatury i sala, w której odbywać się będą spotkania autorskie i inne wydarzenia kulturalne – mówi dyrektor Powiatowej Biblioteki Publicznej w Wejherowie Barbara Gusman.
Placówka działa od listopada ubiegłego roku niezależnie od biblioteki miejskiej – odkąd wygasło porozumienie w tej sprawie między samorządami miasta i powiatu. Z tzw. elektryka bibliotekę powiatową przeniesiono do Kaszubsko – Pomorskiej Szkoły Wyższej w Wejherowie. Przygotowano też szeroką ofertę dla każdej grupy wiekowej. Księgozbiór powiatowej biblioteki w Wejherowie liczy blisko 17 tysięcy woluminów, do dyspozycji czytelników przy Dworcowej 7 są również komputery.
