Podsumowali inwestycję z programu Ochrona Wód Zatoki Gdańskiej
Kilkadziesiąt kilometrów kanalizacji i dziesiątki urządzeń podczyszczających – wybudowano w ramach modernizacji systemu odprowadzania wód opadowych w Gdyni i Małym Trójmieście Kaszubskim. Realizację inwestycji podsumowano na konferencji w gdyńskim Parku Naukowo Technologicznym.
– Tak dużego przedsięwzięcia nie da się realizować w pojedynkę – mówi naczelnik wydziału projektów rozwojowych Miasta Gdyni Krystyna Borkowska.
Pierwszy projekt w ramach programu Ochrony wód Zatoki Gdańskiej realizowała tylko Gdynia w 2011 roku. Do tegorocznych inwestycji dołączyły jeszcze Gdańsk, Sopot, Rumia, Reda i Wejherowo. Celem inwestycji jest usprawnienie odprowadzania wód opadowych, zwłaszcza podczas częstych na Pomorzu nawałnic. Dlatego kosztem ponad 70-u milionów złotych, z których prawie 52 miliony pochodziło z unijnych funduszy, zrealizowano 27 zadań. Wybudowano m.in. 30 kilometrów kanalizacji deszczowej, 66 urządzeń podczyszczających i zbiornik retencyjny „Karwiny”. – Koszty były duże, ale sprawa dotyczy nas wszystkich – mówi burmistrz Redy Krzysztof Krzemiński.
W przyszłym roku program ma być rozszerzony o kolejnych partnerów – miasto i gminę Pruszcz Gdański oraz gminy: Wejherowo i Kosakowo. Łącznie na kolejne inwestycje z zakresu gospodarki wodami opadowymi samorządy chcą wydać około 460 milionów złotych.
