Bezpłatne konsultacje urologiczne w puckim hospicjum
Profilaktyka może ocalić życie przekonują w puckim Hospicjum im. św. Ojca Pio. Zapraszają mężczyzn na konsultacje urologiczne w ramach programu Męska Sprawa. Rak prostaty to drugi po raku płuc najczęściej występujący nowotwór wśród męskiej populacji.
– Adresatami są przede wszystkim osoby po 35 roku życia, ale pomożemy każdemu kto się do nas zgłosi – mówi wiceprezes hospicjum, Anna Jochim-Labuda.
Według szacunków Polskiego Towarzystwa Onkologii Klinicznej w 2015 roku zabije około 1000 mężczyzn w województwie pomorskim. Aby walczyć z tymi dramatycznymi statystykami puckie hospicjum po raz drugi zorganizowało akcję bezpłatnych badań urologicznych. Podczas konsultacji pobierana jest krew w celu określenia podatności na nowotwór, pacjentów w placówce hospicjum bada także lekarz. – Kiedyś badania urologiczne uważano za wstydliwe, na szczęście dzisiaj świadomość już się zmieniła, co pozwala ocalić niektórym życie - mówi Anna Jochim – Labuda. Najbliższe konsultacje odbędą się w siedzibie puckiego hospicjum 5 i 12 grudnia od godziny 8 rano. Pacjenci proszeni są o wcześniejszy kontakt telefoniczny z pracownikami puckiego hospicjum.
