Pomorskie ma pierwszą w Polsce koncepcję opieki nad seniorami
Jak zaktywizować pomorskich seniorów i skąd znaleźć na to środki dyskutowali samorządowcy i naukowcy na konferencji w Gdańsku. Przedstawiono też nowatorską koncepcję systemu opieki nad osobami starszymi.
– Wydaje się, że największą rolę w polityce senioralnej mają do odegrania samorządy, bo to one są najbliżej ludzi - mówi prezes organizującej konferencję Fundacji Promocji Inicjatyw Europejskich, Mirosław Woźniak.
Opracowana przez Anitę Reichert-Kaźmierską i Ewę Lehman z Politechniki Gdańskiej koncepcja jest pierwszą w kraju, która kompleksowo zajmuje się zagadnieniem starzenia się społeczeństwa w skali jednego województwa. Choć w 123 pomorskich gminach istnieją liczne formy aktywizacji seniorów, to brakuje ujednoliconego programu, który objął by coraz liczniejszą grupą społeczną. Podczas gdańskiej konferencji zwracano uwagę na szereg zagadnień, m.in gwałtowny niż demograficzny, potrzebę organizowania opieki medycznej i teleopieki, aktywizację poprzez wolontariat czy tworzenie klubów aktywnych seniorów. Pieniędzy na realizację programów i inwestycji dla seniorów samorządy będą szukać w unijnych funduszach.
