Drogi Kaszubów wiodły nawet do Brazylii
W Łęgu odbędzie się promocja książki autorstwa Krzysztofa Gradowskiego pt. „Pomorska emigracja do Brazylii w II poł. XIX wieku”, wydanej przez Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko-Pomorskie.
To pierwsza publikacja na rynku wydawniczym przedstawiająca tak szczegółowo dane osobowe emigrantów. Publikacja obrazuje wycinek z historii emigracji Pomorzan w drugiej połowie XIX wieku. W książce przedstawiono 2167 osób emigrujących, a także ich rodziny pozostałe na Pomorzu. Ponad 400 osób wyemigrowało do Brazylii z samej tylko ówczesnej parafii Łąg. Dlatego pierwsze spotkanie z autorem publikacji i wydawcą zaplanowano właśnie w Łęgu. Książka zawiera ok. 200 zdjęć, 29 oryginalnych listów słanych do rodziny w Brazylii oraz dzieje najstarszych dziesięciu kaplic wybudowanych przez Pomorzan na nowej ziemi.
Promocja książki już jutro o godzinie 18.00 w Ośrodku Kultury w Łęgu, przy Chojnickiej 30.
