Reprezentacja Kaszubów w parlamencie mniejsza o połowę
Wśród pomorskich posłów i senatorów jest 6 Kaszubów. Trzech w szeregach Platformy Obywatelskiej oraz trzech z Prawa i Sprawiedliwości. Oznacza to, że nasza reprezentacja jest o połowę mniejsza, niż w minionej kadencji Sejmu.
Z dalszego kandydowania zrezygnowali Jan Wyrowiński, Edmund Wittbrodt i Jerzy Budnik. Teresa Hoppe, Krystyna Kłosin i Roman Zaborowski nie zdobyli tym razem mandatu. Tak więc w parlamencie będą nas reprezentować: Jarosław Sellin, Kazimierz Plocke, Kazimierz Kleina, Stanisław Lamczyk, Waldemar Bonkowski i Jan Klawiter.
Gdy w kampanii wyborczej pojawił się pomysł prezesa PiS Jarosława Kaczyńskiego utworzenia województwa środkowopomorskiego, sprzeciwiły się temu obie organizacje reprezentujące Kaszubów: Kaszëbskô Jednota i Zrzeszenie Kaszubsko-Pomorskie. – Będziemy zawsze i wszędzie występowali przeciwko każdemu, kto zagraża rozwojowi naszej kultury, tożsamości i jedności – deklarowali działacze kaszubscy. Czy otrzymają oni wsparcie nowo wybranych kaszubskich posłów? Jest na to szansa, bo sami posłowie PiS widzą, jakim zagrożeniem jest dla Kaszubów ich podział – mówił Jan Klawiter z Prawa i Sprawiedliwości. Najpóźniej 24 listopada odbędzie się pierwsze posiedzenie Sejmu po wyborach. Posłowie złożą wówczas ślubowanie poselskie i wybrany zostanie marszałek Sejmu.
