Otworzą ośrodek dla cierpiących na demencję czy chorobę Alzheimera
W Sopocie dziś uroczyste otwarcie ośrodka, w którym wsparcie znajdą osoby starsze, cierpiące na demencję czy chorobę Alzheimera.
– To także duże wsparcie dla ich rodzin – mówi Natalia Szalk z fundacji Niesiemy Pomoc.
W prowadzonym przez Fundację Niesiemy Pomoc Środowiskowym Domu Samopomocy jest miejsce dla 15 osób. Są tu zachęcani do aktywności i objęci opieką terapeuty, uczestniczą w zajęciach rehabilitacyjnych, które mają podnieść ich jakość życia. Każdy nowy ośrodek dla osób cierpiących na demencję czy chorobę Alzheimera jest na wagę złota. W województwie pomorskim takich miejsc jest 13, a liczba chorych rośnie. Szacuje się że z 300 tysięcy chorych w całej Polsce do 2050 roku wzrośnie do miliona. Do profilaktyki nawoływała Natalia Szalk z Fundacji Niesiemy Pomoc w naszej porannej audycji.
