Gdyńskie Centrum Kardiologiczne oficjalnie otwarte
Mieści się w Szpitalu Św. Wincentego a Paulo, powstało w wyniku połączenia oddziału w tej placówce i kardiologii z Redłowa.
– Współpraca dobrze się układa – mówi szef kardiologii w Gdyni Paweł Miękus.
Plany przeniesienia kardiologii ze szpitala morskiego im. PCK do śródmieścia wzbudziły na początku roku falę protestów – niezadowolenie manifestowali lekarze i pacjenci obawiający się pogorszenia dostępności specjalistów i standardu leczenia. Nie wpłynęli jednak na decyzję marszałka, fuzję przeprowadzono w kwietniu. Gdyńskie Centrum Kardiologiczne mieści się na trzech piętrach szpitala św. Wincentego a Paulo. Zdaniem doktora Miękusa na jego powstaniu skorzystają pacjenci, bo oferuje im kompleksową opiekę i szybkość diagnostyczną.
Dzięki dotacji z Urzędu Marszałkowskiego kosztem dwóch i pól miliona złotych na potrzeby Gdyńskiego Centrum Kardiologicznego zaadaptowano siódme piętro szpitala Wincentego a Paulo. Mieści ono m. in. klimatyzowane, dwuosobowe sale chorych i 8 osobową salę intensywnego nadzoru kardiologicznego – podkreśla Hanna Zych – Cisoń z Zarządu Województwa Pomorskiego.
