Prof. Tadeusz Linkner nowym honorowym obywatelem Kościerzyny
Profesor Tadeusz Linkner będzie nowym honorowym obywatelem Kościerzyny – zdecydowali radni na ostatniej sesji rady miasta.
– W Kościerzynie zainicjował coroczne Kościerskie Targi Książki. Angażuje się też w wojewódzki konkurs dla gimnazjalistów „Kaszubi wczoraj i dziś” – wylicza burmistrz miasta Michał Majewski.
Honorowe obywatelstwo to najwyższe wyróżnienie przyznawane w Kościerzynie. Trafia do zasłużonych osób, które przyczyniły się do rozsławienia miasta. W tym gronie są już profesor Edward Breza, abp Henryk Muszyński, prezydent Lech Wałęsa, ambasador Janusz Reiter i patron kościerskiego Muzeum dr Jerzy Knyba. Od wielu lat w działalność naukową i promocyjną włącza się mieszkający w Kościerzynie profesor Tadeusz Linkner. Jest historykiem literatury, autorem wielu opracowań i od ponad 30 lat wykładowcą Uniwersytetu Gdańskiego. – To jest wyróżnienie – mówi profesor Tadeusz Linkner. Tytuł Honorowego Obywatela zostanie mu wręczony na zwołanej w tym celu uroczystej sesji Rady Miasta.
