„Body/Ciało” wyróżniony Złotymi Lwami – na Festiwalu Filmowym
Film „Body/Ciało” Małgorzaty Szumowskiej wyróżniony główną nagrodą – Złotymi Lwami – na zakończonym 40. Festiwalu Filmowym w Gdyni. Najlepszymi aktorami uznano Agnieszkę Grochowską, Krzysztofa Stroińskiego i Janusza Gajosa.
– Wyróżnieni nie kryli wzruszenia – mówiła Małgorzata Szumowska.
Doceniono też między innymi autorów najlepszego scenariusza, dźwięku i zdjęć. Festiwal w Gdyni to najważniejsza impreza poświęcona kinematografii polskiej. Tegoroczna ceremonia rozdania nagród miała szczególny charakter z powodu śmierci reżysera Marcina Wrony, uznawanego za jednego z najzdolniejszych polskich twórców młodego pokolenia. Gala rozpoczęła się minutą ciszy, a prowadzili ją Grażyna Torbicka oraz Tomasz Kot. Reżyser i scenarzysta Marcin Wrona zmarł w Gdyni w nocy z piątku na sobotę. Przyczyny śmierci bada prokuratura.
