Gdynia gotowa na przyjęcie uchodźców wojennych. Władze miasta deklarują, że kilka rodzin otrzyma tu pomoc w konstruktywnym uporaniu się z traumą i rozpoczęciu nowego życia.
W Gdyni chcą tego dokonać we współpracy z lokalnymi firmami, organizacjami pozarządowymi, instytucjami publicznymi, parafiami i przy pomocy wolontariuszy. Skorzystamy też z naszego bogatego doświadczenia w pomaganiu osobom bezdomnym w wychodzeniu z bezdomności – mówił dziś w naszej porannej audycji wiceprezydent Gdyni Michał Guć. Przypomniał, że z powodzeniem udało się pomóc rodzinie uchodźców z Syrii, która do Gdyni przybyła dwa lata temu. By uchodźcy nie żyli z socjalnego zasiłku pochodzącego z naszych podatków w Gdyni w lipcu zawiązano zespół złożony m.in. z przedstawicieli organizacji pozarządowych i biznesu. Jego zadaniem jest budowa kompleksowego wsparcia dla uchodźców.

Gotowość przyjęcia kilku rodzin uchodźców wojennych zadeklarowała ostatnio gmina Gniewino. Uchwałę w tej sprawie przyjęto już w Gdańsku, gdzie jedną z pomocy będą mieszkania komunalne, powołano też zespół do spraw modelu integracji imigrantów.
