GDYNIA: Rozbudowa Teatru Muzycznego dobiegła końca
Po prawie trzech latach rozbudowa Teatru Muzycznego w Gdyni dobiegła końca. Koszt inwestycji przekroczył 75 milionów złotych, z czego ponad połowa kwoty pochodziła z dofinansowania ze środków unijnych. Teatr został wyposażony w nowoczesne oświetlenie i sprzęt akustyczny; zwiększyła się jego powierzchnia, a co za tym idzie – ilość miejsc – trzy sceny Teatru Muzycznego pomieszczą ponad 1500 osób. Okazją do podsumowania rozbudowy, jak i planów na przyszłość była konferencja prasowa, podczas której zalety inwestycji podkreślał marszałek województwa pomorskiego Mieczysław Struk. Marszałek pytany o termin ogłoszenia konkursu na stanowisko dyrektora artystycznego teatru zapowiedział, że nastąpi to po zakończeniu Gdyńskiego Festiwalu Filmowego, natomiast uroczyste otwarcie rozbudowanego Teatru Muzycznego już w piątek 6 września. Tego dnia odbędzie się premiera musicalu „Chłopi” opartego na powieści Władysława Reymonta w reżyserii Wojciecha Kościelniaka.
