W Gdańsku uczczono pomordowanych w II wojnie światowej
Modlitwą w intencji Polonii Gdańskiej uczczono pomordowanych we wrześniu 1939 roku – podczas uroczystości w Gdańsku przy dawnym budynku Victoriaschule. To część obchodów 76. rocznicy wybuchu II wojny światowej.
– Do Victoriaschule trafiali pojmani tuż po wybuchu wojny – było przejściowym więzieniem dla trzech tysięcy mieszkańców Wolnego Miasta Gdańska – opisuje Piotr Mazurek z Towarzystwa Przyjaciół Gdańska.
Uroczystość odbyła się przy ulicy Kładki. Pod tablicą upamiętniającą pomordowanych kwiaty złożyli przedstawiciele władz miasta, mieszkańcy oraz – a może przede wszystkim – krewni ofiar. Uroczystość przy Victoriaschule jest jedną z wielu upamiętniających w regionie 76. rocznicę wybuchu II wojny światowej. W obchodach na Westerplatte o świcie wzięli udział prezydent Andrzej Duda i premier Ewa Kopacz. (Foto www.gdansk.pl)
