W szpitalach dramatycznie brakuje krwi – bije na alarm wejherowski oddział PCK i w najbliższą sobotę organizuje zbiórkę w mobilnym ambulansie.
– W sezonie zawsze są problemy z krwią, ale w tym roku osiągnęły wyjątkową skalę – mówi Elżbieta Szymerowska z wejherowskiego PCK.
Przyczyną kryzysowej sytuacji jest natężony ruch turystyczny i idąca za tym zwiększona liczba wypadków. Według danych Regionalnego Centrum Krwiodawstwa i Krwiolecznictwa w Gdańsku zapasy sześciu z ośmiu grup krwi są w większości pomorskich szpitali równe zeru. Aby temu zaradzić kluby krwiodawców i Polski Czerwony Krzyż organizują na terenie całego województwa zbiórki w mobilnych ambulansach. W Wejherowie ambulans zaparkuje w sobotę na parkingu przy centrum handlowym przy ulicy I Brygady Pancernej Wojska Polskiego, krew będzie można oddawać w godzinach od 09:00 do 13:00. Kolejna zbiórka odbędzie się 23 sierpnia.
Regularne akcje organizuje też tego lata klub honorowych dawców przy urzędzie miejskim w Gdyni – tam zbiórki odbywają się w każdy czwartek. Trasę ambulansów można także prześledzić na stronie internetowej www.krew.gda.pl.
