Na Politechnice Gdańskiej trwa Bałtycki Festiwal Nauki
Kładkę dla pieszych z surowców wtórnych – zaprezentowano na Politechnice Gdańskiej w ramach Bałtyckiego Festiwalu Nauki.
– Użycie do jego stworzenia odpadów z recyklingu pomaga chronić środowisko, to istotna zaleta naszej konstrukcji mówi Erwin Wojtczak z Koła Naukowego Mechaniki Budowy PG.
To trzynasta tej edycja imprezy, w pomorskiem włączyło się w nią 40 instytucji i uczelni organizując niemal tysiąc wydarzeń popularnonaukowych – z czego ponad 220 na Politechnice Gdańskiej. Zaprezentowana kładka to pierwsza taka konstrukcja wykonana w całości z kompozytów – z butelek PET wzmocnionych włóknem szklanym. Takie rozwiązanie jest szybsze i tańsze niż budowa kładki dla pieszych i rowerzystów stosowanymi dotąd tradycyjnymi metodami. Mostek jest budowany jako jednoelementowa bryła i w takiej formie docierać będzie na miejsce przeznaczenia. Projekt „szklanego mostu” powstał dzięki współpracy Politechniki Gdańskiej, Wojskowej Akademii Technicznej i spółki ROMA. 13 Bałtycki Festiwal Nauki potrwa do niedzieli.
