Na Zatoce ruszyły Regaty o Puchar Polskiego Związku Żeglarskiego
To poważny sprawdzian na własnym podwórku. W Pucku rozpoczęły się dzisiaj Regaty o Puchar Polskiego Związku żeglarskiego, w którym wystąpią niemal wszyscy nasi najlepsi żeglarze.
– To jeden z etapów wyłonienia najlepszych do olimpiady w Rio deJanerio – mówi wiceprezes Polskiego Związku żeglarskiego, Tomasz Chamera.
Tradycyjne zawody od lat stanowią inaugurację sezonu żeglarstwa wyczynowego w Polsce. Przez trzy dni o trofeum rywalizować będą czołowi żeglarze i windsurferzy kadry narodowej Energa Sailing Team Poland. Mistrzostwa PZŻ sprawdzą formę zawodników przed letnim sezonem, w tym roku mają też cel dodatkowy. Panie i panowie rywalizują w kilku kategoriach. Na wodach Zatoki Puckiej zobaczymy m.in. windsurferów w klasie RS:X, żagłówki fourthy-nine`ry i lasery. Do konfrontacji obok młodych,zdolnych żeglarzy staną utytułowani mistrzowie jak złoty olimpijczyk z Londynu Przemysław Miarczyński czy wielokrotny mistrz Polski Piotr Myszka. – Takie zawody to dla nas dobry sprawdzian – mówi Przemysław Miarczyński. Regaty potrwają do 17 maja, a już w czerwcu żeglarze staną do kolejnej rywalizacji o medale – w czerwcu, na mistrzostwach Europy w Sycylii.
