W Wejherowie rozpoczął się pierwszy etap budowy tzw. Węzła Zryw. To największa inwestycja drogowa miasta na najbliższe lata.
– Funduszy chcemy szukać w Zintegrowanych Inwestycjach Terytorialnych – wyjaśnia zastępca prezydenta Wejherowa Beata Rutkiewicz.
Ma to być kluczowy element nowego układu drogowego we wschodniej części Wejherowa. Do 2020 roku ma powstać prawie 6 km dróg, które połączą północną i południową część Śmiechowa i udrożnią zakorkowaną krajową 6-tkę. Pierwszy etap inwestycji obejmuje rozpoczętą właśnie budowę kanalizacji deszczowej przy ulicy Gryfa Pomorskiego. W kolejnych latach powstanie ulica Patoka, cztery ronda i i dwa podziemne tunele pod torami i krajową szóstką, które doprowadzą połączenie aż do ulicy Sikorskiego. Szacunkowy koszt budowy Węzła Zryw to 70 mln zł.
