Spotkanie Kolosów w Gdyni dobiegło końca
Najwybitniejsi podróżnicy, żeglarze i alpiniści nagrodzeni w Gdyni podczas XVII Ogólnopolskiej Edycji Kolosów czyli największej imprezie podróżniczej w Europie. W trakcie trzech dni spotkania uczestnicy słuchali wystąpień podróżników, oglądali filmy relacjonujące ich wyprawy oraz zdjęcia ilustrujące życie na niemal wszystkich częściach globu ziemskiego.
Zwieńczeniem imprezy było wręczenie nagród najwybitniejszym podróżnikom. Super Kolos powędrował do wybitnego alpinisty Janusza Kurczaba za wytyczenie nowych dróg w Tatrach, Alpach, Hindukuszu, Karakorum i Himalajach oraz wybitny wkład w popularyzację polskiego alpinizmu. Kolejne kolosy otrzymali Ryszard Wojnowski w kategorii żeglarstwa, Piotr Strzeżysza w kategorii podróże oraz Sebastian Kawa, który przeleciał szybowcem nad Himalajami, za wyczyn roku. Nagrodzeni zostali również Adam Pustelnik w kategorii alpinizm oraz Sopocki Klub Taternictwa Jaskiniowego i Sekcja Grotołazów Wrocław za eksplorację jaskiń. Prelekcjom podróżników przysłuchiwały się tłumy Gdynian. Nagroda specjalna podczas XVII edycji Kolosów powędrowała do Aleksandra Doby za drugą, samotną podróż kajakiem przez Atlantyk, w trakcie której przepłynął ocean na trasie z Lizbony na Florydę.
