Gryf Literacki dla Henryka Połchowskiego
Wręczono Gryfa Literackiego 2014. Najpopularniejszą książką minionego roku w powiecie wejherowskim okazały się „Wojenne Losy” Henryka Połchowskiego.
Ta prestiżowa nagroda przyznawana jest co roku przez laureatów poprzednich edycji i bibliotekarzy z całego powiatu, a konkurs organizuje Biblioteka Miejska w Wejherowie. Henryk Połchowski, autor najpoczytniejszej książki minionego roku i zdobywca trofeum nie spodziewał się wyróżnienia. To było ogromne zaskoczenie i dodaje, że Gryf to nie zwieńczenie literackiej kariery, a dopiero początek.
Henryk Połchowski jest dziennikarzem, poetą i fotoreporterem. Redagował m. in. Echo Wejherowa, Gryf Bałtycki, pisywał do „Przeglądu Morskiego” i „Polski Zbrojnej”. „Wojenne losy” to zbiór wspomnień żołnierzy, lekarzy i zwykłych ludzi dotkniętych zawieruchą II wojny światowej.
