Biblioteka Narodowa dostępna w bibliotece miejskiej
W kartuskiej bibliotece można korzystać z ponad sześciuset tysięcy publikacji naukowych – udostępnianych w formie cyfrowej.
– Oferta obejmuje podręczniki akademickie, publikacje naukowe i czasopisma naukowe z listy Ministerstwa Nauki i Szkolnictwa Wyższego – wylicza Małgorzata Węsiora z Miejskiej i Powiatowej Biblioteki w Kartuzach.
Placówka w Kartuzach jako jedna z trzech w Pomorskiem uzyskała dostęp do zasobów Biblioteki Narodowej w ramach projektu Academica. To system wypożyczeń bibliotecznych, który ma uzupełnić tradycyjne wysyłanie egzemplarzy pocztą. Zmniejszy to koszty i skróci czas oczekiwania na książkę, bowiem użytkownik będzie mógł skorzystać z elektronicznej wersji w cyfrowej wypożyczalni. Najpierw jednak trzeba dokonać rezerwacji wybranej publikacji – za pośrednictwem biorącej udział w programie biblioteki.
W województwie pomorskim w programie Academica biorą jeszcze udział: Wojewódzka Biblioteka Pedagogiczna Gdańsku i jej filia w Pruszczu Gdańskim.
