Łagodniejszy wyrok dla rodziców zastępczych z Pucka. Sąd Apelacyjny w Gdańsku zmniejszył kary dla Wiesława Cz. za znęcanie się nad dziećmi oraz dla Anny Cz – uznając że bijąc 3-letniego Kacpra nie działała z zamiarem zabójstwa.
To sprawa, która ciągnie się od trzech lat i która wstrząsnęła opinią publiczną. W lipcu 2012 roku w rodzinie zastępczej z dwójką dzieci, do której trafiło jeszcze 5 powierzonych, zmarł 3 – letni Kacper, a dwa miesiące później jego 5-letnia siostra Klaudia. Podczas śledztwa i procesu wyszło na jaw, że opiekunowie znęcali się nad dziećmi – fizycznie i psychicznie. Sąd Okręgowy w Gdańsku we wrześniu skazał Annę Cz. za zabójstwo na dożywocie, Wiesława Cz. za znęcanie się nad dziećmi na 5 lat więzienia. Apelację złożyli ich obrońcy. Sąd Apelacyjny kary złagodził zmieniając kwalifikację jednego z przestępstw. Uznał, że Anna Cz. dopuściła się zabójstwa 5-letniej dziewczynki, ale bijąc Kacpra nie działała z zamiarem zabójstwa. Kobieta spędzi w więzieniu 25 lat zamiast dożywocia – nie może jednak ubiegać się o warunkowe zwolnienie wcześniej niż po 20 latach. Wiesławowi Cz. sąd zmniejszył karę z 5 lat na 4 lata pozbawienia wolności – skierował jednocześnie do sądu w Wejherowie do rozpatrzenia wątek znęcania się nad jego biologiczną córką. Wyrok gdańskiego Sądu Apelacyjnego jest prawomocny. Przysługuje od niego tylko kasacja do Sądu Najwyższego.
