WKS Gryf Wejherowo będzie promował miasto
WKS Gryf Wejherowo będzie promował miasto – otrzymał na ten cel 50 tysięcy złotych. To nowy rozdział we współpracy klubu z samorządem miasta Wejherowa.
Głośne były przez ostatnie kilka lat bezskuteczne próby pozyskania przez Gryfa pieniędzy z miejskiej kasy na drużynę piłkarską, która z powodu kłopotów finansowych klubu spadła ostatnio do III ligi. Wejherowo wprawdzie wspierało klub, ale pieniądze otrzymywała trenująca tam młodzież. W listopadzie z prezesury zrezygnował Rafał Szlas, który uzyskał mandat w radzie miasta i zapowiedział lobbowanie na rzecz klubu. Nowy prezes Piotr Waga zapowiada pracę nad budowaniem dobrych relacji z miejskim samorządem. 50 tysięcy złotych wzmocni klub finansowo, ale prezydent Wejherowa Krzysztof Hildebrandt zastrzega – środki mają być wykorzystane do promocji obu stron, i zostaną dokładnie rozliczone. Kwestię dalszego finansowania miasto zostawia otwartą. Klub podjął już konkretne działania promocyjne – zakupiono m. in nowe stroje z herbem miasta.
