Największe problemy na Pomorzu z dostaniem się do lekarzy mają dzisiaj mieszkańcy powiatów bytowskiego i wejherowskiego. Tu umowy z NFZ podpisało odpowiednio 10 i 25% lekarzy. Bez dostępu do podstawowej opieki medycznej pozostaje około 60 tysięcy pacjentów z powiatu bytowskiego i aż 150 tysięcy mieszkańców powiatu wejherowskiego. Do dyspozycji mają jedynie izby przyjęć i szpitalne oddziały ratunkowe w miejscowych szpitalach.
Jak informuje pomorski oddział Narodowego Funduszu Zdrowia w naszym województwie podpisano około 70% umów na świadczenia podstawowej opieki medycznej, dzięki czemu opiekę zapewnione ma około 75% pacjentów. Nadal nie działa prawie 140 przychodni, w których lekarze protestują przeciwko działaniom Ministra Zdrowia. Żądają przesunięcia w czasie wprowadzenia tak zwanego pakietu onkologicznego i lepszego finansowania dodatkowych obowiązków nałożonych na lekarzy od 1 stycznia. Jak zapowiadają protestujący lekarze – przychodnie otworzą dopiero po zrealizowaniu ich żądań. Dla zdezorientowanych pacjentów NFZ przygotował specjalną infolinię.
