W tym roku kapituła – czyli studenci trójmiejskich uczelni skupieni w klubie Pomorania – wyróżnili pisarkę Bożenę Ugowską i działaczkę społeczną 95-letnią Wandę Kiżewską ze wsi Czyczkowy w gminie Brusy. Śpiewał zespół Zaboracy z Czyczków, a o swoich emocjach opowiadała medalem Bożena Ugowska. Nagroda przyznawana jest od 1967 roku, na uroczystości w Ratuszu Staromiejskim w Gdańsku była Ania Cupa – Dziemińska.
