Edukacja ekologiczna coraz popularniejsza w szkołach. Korzysta z niej już ponad 20 tysięcy dzieci z Gdyni, Sopotu, Wejherowa, Redy, Rumi oraz gmin Kosakowo, Szemud i Wejherowo. To gminy należące do Komunalnego Związku Gmin Dolina Redy i Chylonki, który zajęcia dla dzieci organizuje już od 17 lat. Co roku oferta Związku trafia do 250 placówek szkolnych. Uczniowie mogą skorzystać z wycieczek edukacyjnych, zajęć na terenie związku, a także konkursów plastycznych i rywalizacji w zbieraniu zakrętek i baterii. Ostatnio zakład zagospodarowania odpadów Ekodolina w Łężycach odwiedzili uczniowie Zespołu Szkół nr 7 w Gdyni Witominie. Z uczniami z Witomina rozmawiał Piotr Szyca.
