– Jednym z uczestników projektu jest gmina Kościerzyna, gdzie mają powstać 4 trasy kajakowe biegnące rzekami Wda, Pilica, Graniczna, Trzebiocha, Wierzyca oraz jeziorami Wdzydzkimi. W 10 miejscowościach gminy ma powstać infrastruktura kajakowa – opisuje zastępca zastępca wójta Grzegorz Świtała.
15 nowych tras będą mieć do dyspozycji kajakarze na Pomorzu. Przygotowywana jest już dokumentacja i wybierane są miejsca, gdzie powstanie infrastruktura – czyli przystanie, przenoski, pola biwakowe a też miejsca wodowania i wyciągania kajaków. „Kajakiem przez Pomorze” to jeden z 3 największych projektów, jaki ma być realizowany w naszym województwie do 2020 roku. W jego ramach ma powstać co najmniej 15 szlaków z przystaniami i stanicami. Mają być oznakowane a część z nich będzie się łączyć w dłuższe trasy. Inwestycja ma poprawić jakość turystyczną województwa, gdzie do dyspozycji jest ponad 30 spławnych rzek. Dokument określający lokalizację infrastruktury ma być gotowy do stycznia 2015 roku. Prawdopodobny koszt realizacji projektu to około 50 mln złotych. Pieniądze mają pochodzić z funduszy unijnych i budżetów gmin.
