Szykują się zmiany w przyznawaniu pomocy socjalnej
Szykują się zmiany w przyznawaniu pomocy socjalnej. Nową ustawę, która zreformuje system pomocy społecznej przygotowuje ministerstwo pracy i polityki społecznej. Najważniejszą zmianą będzie zlikwidowanie kryterium dochodowego i zastąpienie go minimalnym dochodem socjalnym, który ma gwarantować zaspokojenie potrzeb egzystencjalnych rodziny. Zmiany szykują się też w katalogu świadczeń pieniężnych i niepieniężnych Wypłacany ma być jeden zasiłek socjalny z możliwością powiększenia go o dodatki: motywacyjny i dopłatę do usług interwencyjnych – co ma zmotywować osoby długotrwale pobierające zasiłek do podjęcia działań i zmiany swojego życia. W gminie Stężyca z pomocy socjalnej korzysta 331 rodzin. Wójt Tomasz Brzoskowski liczy, że dzięki nowym zasadom przyznawania pomocy socjalnej liczba ta się zmniejszy. Skalę problemu widać jeszcze lepiej na przykładzie województwa pomorskiego – z pomocy społecznej korzysta tu ponad 77 tysięcy rodzin, czyli w sumie prawie 124 tysiące osób.
