Trwa bój o otwarcie etnofilologii na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim
Trwa kolejny bój o otwarcie pierwszego w historii – kierunku kaszubskiego na studiach wyższych czyli etnofilologii na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim. Rekrutację przedłużono do 15 września, a kaszubscy naukowcy negocjują z ministrem szkolnictwa wyższego obniżenie wymaganego do 25 osób – progu studentów. Przypomnę, że etnofilologii nie udało się uruchomić już rok temu. Zabrakło wymaganej liczby chętnych. Według ogólnopolskich zasad nowy kierunek studiów na Uniwersytecie może być otwarty, jeśli rozpocznie na nim naukę minimum 25 studentów. To niemożliwe w przypadku Kaszubów – mówią kaszubscy działacze. Etnofilologia to kierunek mniejszościowy, więc zmniejszony powinien być również próg osób chętnych – podkreśla dr Justyna Pomierska z Uniwersytetu. Obniżenie zależne jest jednak od dodatkowych środków finansowych z Ministerstwa Szkolnictwa Wyższego. Efekty negocjacji mają być znane jeszcze tego lata. Tymczasem środowiska kaszubskie podkreślają jak ważne jest uruchomienie tego kierunku na Uniwersytecie, gdzie kształcili by się przyszli animatorzy kultury, dziennikarze i nauczyciele języka kaszubskiego. Równolegle do rozmów o obniżeniu progu studentów na etnofilologii, Uniwersytet czeka cały czas na kolejnych chętnych. Rekrutacja – przypomnę – potrwa do 15 września.
