Kaszubska truskawka walczy o tytuł Produkt Roku 2014. Konkurs organizowany jest w ramach kampanii Trzy znaki smaku, promującej regionalne produkty, które uzyskały unijne oznaczenia chronione. Zagłosować można również na miejsca, które promują regionalne produkty – z Kaszub startują gospodarstwa agroturystyczne z Przyrowia i Kamienicy Królewskiej. Kampanię realizuje Agencja Rynku Rolnego. Chce wypromować unijne produkty w Polsce czyli 36 przysmaków, które szczycą się tytułem – gwarantowana tradycyjna specjalność, chroniona nazwa pochodzenia bądź chronione oznaczenie geograficzne. To ostatnie posiada jedyny regionalny produkt z Pomorza – truskawka kaszubska. Jest słodsza od innych, zdrowsza i bardziej wypromowana – wymienia jej walory – Edyta Klasa z Urzędu Marszałkowskiego w Gdańsku. Na produkty i miejsca roku można głosować na stronie ww.pimr.trzyznakismaku.pl Głosujący mogą też napisać krótką recenzję produktów. Autorzy sześciu najlepszych tekstów zostaną nagrodzeni koszami produktów regionalnych o wartości 250 zł. Konkurs potrwa do 4 sierpnia.
