Wejherowo rozbudowuje sieć miejskiego monitoringu
Wejherowo rozbudowuje sieć miejskiego monitoringu. Władze miasta zakupiły 6 nowych kamer cyfrowych. Inwestycja, łącznie z rozbudową sieci światłowodowej, kosztowała prawie 200 tysięcy złotych. Dzięki temu – stworzono dwa współpracujące ze sobą centra monitoringu – w ratuszu miejskim oraz w Komendzie Policji. Rozbudowana sieć światłowodowa pozwala na zamontowanie aż 64 kamer w mieście, obecnie działa ich 33. Nowe cyfrowe urządzenia zostaną zamontowane w rejonie dworca PKP i ulicy Kwiatowej, na terenie Parku Miejskiego a także w rejonie parkingu w pobliżu sądu. Inwestycja poprawi bezpieczeństwo w mieście – ocenia szef straży miejskiej w Wejherowie Zenon Hinca. Z danych straży miejskiej wynika, że przestępczość w miejscach gdzie zainstalowane są kamery spadła o nawet 80%.
