Brak pojemników to główny mankament nowego systemu gospodarowania odpadami w gminie Żukowo. Dodatkowo mieszkańcy na ostatnią chwilę złożyli prawie 800 deklaracji, których nie przewidziano podczas ogłaszania przetargu.
W gminie wywozem śmieci zajmują się 2 konsorcja, największy problem mają mieszkańcy Chwaszczyna i Pępowa, gdzie firma Matalpol zamiast pojemników oferuje mieszkańcom worki na śmieci.
Harmonogram wywozu śmieci dostępny jest na stronie internetowej gminy. Tymczasowy punkt selektywnej zbiórki odpadów zostanie utworzony przy ulicy Polnej w Żukowie.
