Czy będzie elektrownia jądrowa w gminie Choczewo?
Jest zgoda na poszukiwania lokalizacji pod budowę elektrowni jądrowej w gminie Choczewo. Minister transportu uznał że mogą się rozpocząć, bo decyzja wojewody zezwalająca na badania jest ważna.
O stwierdzenie nieważności decyzji wojewody pomorskiego w tej sprawie wystąpiło w ubiegłym roku Stowarzyszenie ekologiczno-turystyczne „Lubiatowska Wydma”, według którego pozwolenie wydano bez uruchomienia odpowiedniej procedury. Organizacja wskazywała też, że teren, na którym mają być prowadzone badania pokrywa się z obszarem Natura 2000. Jak jednak czytamy w uzasadnieniu ministra transportu, „decyzja wojewody pomorskiego jest zgodna z prawem”. Pozwala ona na przeprowadzenie badań środowiskowych i lokalizacyjnych związanych z planami budowy pierwszej polskiej elektrowni jądrowej. Badania obejmą m.in. warunki geologiczne, środowisko naturalne i przyrodnicze, obecne zagospodarowanie terenu, czy kwestie logistyki i dostępnej infrastruktury. Minister podkreślił jednocześnie, że nie daje to jeszcze podstaw do rozpoczęcia budowy elektrowni jądrowej.
Oprócz Choczewa, podobne badania mają być przeprowadzone także w Żarnowcu. PGE planuje, że rozpoczną się w drugiej połowie roku.
