8 tysięcy drzew zasadzono w mirachowskich lasach pod Kartuzami
8 tys. drzew zasadzili leśnicy z wolontariuszami w mirachowskich lasach pod Kartuzami. Była to część ogólnopolskiej akcji Lasów Państwowych „Sadzimy 1000 drzew na minutę”.
Nazwa odnosi się do okrągłej liczby 500 milionów drzew, sadzonych corocznie w ramach odnawiania lasu. W Mirachowie młode świerki i sosny rosną w miejscu, z którego wcześniej usunięto chore drzewa i wiatrołomy. W ich sadzeniu leśnikom pomagali w sobotę uczniowie z okolicznych szkół, rozmawiał z nimi Piotr Szyca.
Na terenie Nadleśnictwa Kartuzy w tym roku posadzonych zostanie 260 tysięcy drzew – różnych gatunków.
