325 miejsc dla osób bezdomnych przygotowała na zimę Gdynia. Tamtejszy MOPS prosi też sygnały o osobach, których zdrowiu i życiu zagraża wychłodzenie.
– Tradycyjnie zwracamy się o pomoc mieszkańców miasta – mówi Cezary Horewicz z Miejskiego Ośrodka Pomocy Społecznej w Gdyni.
Gdy temperatura zaczyna drastycznie spadać w miasto ruszają patrole pracowników MOPS, policjantów i strażników miejskich – sprawdzają pustostany, altanki, klatki schodowe i w razie potrzeby odwożą bezdomnych do noclegowni. Gdynia dysponuje czterema schroniskami dla osób bezdomnych – na 185 miejsc. Jak co roku zawarto też umowy z placówkami w sąsiednich gminach. W sumie zabezpieczono 325 miejsc. W razie konieczności będzie ich więcej. Informacje o osobach bezdomnych w miejscach zagrażających ich życiu i zdrowiu można zgłaszać do Centrum Reintegracji i Interwencji Mieszkaniowej Gdyńskiego MOPS. Można także przez całą dobę dzwonić do Straży Miejskiej pod 986 lub numer alarmowy 112.
