30 nowoczesnych Solarisów trafi na gdyńskie ulice
30 nowych trolejbusów kupią w Gdyni, zmodernizują też 21 pojazdów. Podpisano już w tej sprawie umowę z firmą Solaris opiewającą na 95 mln zł.
– Jeżeli chcemy, by Gdynianie chętniej korzystali z komunikacji miejskiej, musimy dbać o ich komfort, ale też o jakość środowiska – mówi prezydent Gdyni Wojciech Szczurek.
Tabor Przedsiębiorstwa Komunikacji Trolejbusowej składa się teraz z 93 pojazdów, w tym 89 niskopodłogowych i 4 zabytkowych, które są atrakcjami turystycznymi. Nowe Trollino zastąpią najbardziej wysłużone mercedesy. Oprócz 30 nowych trolejbusów firma Solaris ma dostarczyć nowe baterie litowo-jonowe, które pozwolą na zmodernizowanie 21 pojazdów. Baterie te dają możliwość dojeżdżania do dzielnic Gdyni, które znajdują się poza siecią trakcyjną – mówi Hanna Górecka-Banasik z Samodzielnego Referatu do spraw Energetyki. Dostawa nowych trolejbusów do Gdyni rozpocznie się we wrześniu tego roku i zakończy na wiosnę. Wtedy też powinna zakończyć się modernizacja już używanych trolejbusów.
