Ta ostatnia – świętująca już 95 urodziny – była w latach 70-tych inicjatorką powstania Wiejskiego Domu Kultury i rozwoju zespołów i teatrów kaszubskich – opowiada prezes Klubu Pomorania Magdalena Bigus.
Znamy już laureatów tegorocznego Medalu Stolema – najważniejszego wyróżnienia w środowisku kaszubskim. To pisarka Bożena Ugowska z Nowej karczmy i działaczka społeczna Wanda Kiżewska z Czyczków. Kapitułę przyznawanego od 47 lat Medalu tworzą studenci trójmiejskich uczelni skupieni w Klubie Studenckim Pomorania. Wyróżniają sposób osoby bądź instytucje, które w szczególny sposób przyczyniły się do pomnożenia i spopularyzowania kultury Kaszub i Pomorza. Wśród dotychczasowych laureatów są między innymi Donald Tusk, pisarz Günter Grass czy aktorka Danuta Stenka. Drugą laureatką Medalu została pisarka i nauczycielka języka kaszubskiego Bożena Ugowska z Nowej Karczmy. Wręczenie Medalu Stolema odbędzie się 10 grudnia w Ratuszu Staromiejskim w Gdańsku.
