W Żukowie budowa nowej siedziby Ośrodka Kultury i Sportu idzie pełną parą. Pracownicy placówki przeprowadzą w drugiej połowie tego roku.
Z wynajmowanego budynku przy ulicy Mściwoja przeniosą się do dwukondygnacyjnego obiektu przy ulicy 3 Maja. To zrewitalizowany ostatnio teren z przestrzenią parkową, placem zabaw, boiskiem do siatkówki plażowej i przystanią kajakową.
– OKiS będzie też miał w sąsiedztwie odnowiony Spichlerz – mówi burmistrz Żukowa Wojciech Kankowski.
Przebudowa Spichlerza została już nominowana do finału Ogólnopolskiego Konkursu „Modernizacja roku i Budowa 21 wieku”. Ośrodek Kultury ma w nim organizować imprezy czy zajęcia kulturalne.
