W Wejherowie są przeciwni wycince drzew przy ulicy Hallera
Większość wejherowian jest przeciwna wycince drzew przy ulicy Hallera – wynika z podsumowania badania ankietowego w tej sprawie. Sondaż przeprowadziły władze miasta w związku z planowaną modernizacją jezdni i chodnika – bo korzenie rosnących tam drzew zatykają kanalizację deszczową i wykoślawiają chodnikowe płyty, a same drzewa zajmują też sporo miejsca.
– W związku z tym usuniemy tylko te chore, które zagrażają bezpieczeństwu przechodniów i kierowców – mówi zastępca prezydenta Wejherowa Beata Rutkiewicz.
Ankiety wypełniło 318 osób. Większość była przeciwna wycince, a także wymianie starych drzew na nowe. Koncepcja wypracowana po konsultacjach będzie podstawą wykonania projektu modernizacji ulicy Hallera. Ma być ona przebudowana w ramach projektu „Rewitalizacji Śródmieścia Wejherowa”, na który miejski samorząd pozyskał unijne dofinansowanie.
