W Wejherowie posadzono w tym roku dwieście drzew
To dwa razy więcej niż zwykle. Nasadzenia są przede wszystkim prowadzone w ramach rewitalizacji zielonej przestrzeni po zrealizowanych inwestycjach.
– Zwłaszcza tych drogowych – mówi prezydent Wejherowa Krzysztof Hildebrandt.
Nowe drzewa sadzą też w Wejherowie po wycince roślin chorych bądź słabych. Prewencyjnie usuwane są zwłaszcza topole. Przed wakacjami w Wejherowie samorząd konsultował z mieszkańcami zakres remontu ulicy Hallera i związanej z tym wycinki. Większość wypowiedziała się za pozostawieniem starych drzew i wkomponowaniu ich w nowe chodniki i pobocze jezdni.
