W Rumi badania popiołu potwierdziły podejrzenia o spalaniu śmieci w piecach. Niedozwolone substancje stwierdzono ostatnio we wszystkich trzech próbkach wysłanych do laboratorium na Śląsku.
– Musieliśmy sięgnąć po tę metodę w trosce o czyste powietrze w mieście – mówi komendant Straży Miejskiej w Rumi Roman Świrski.
Właśnie przyszły wyniki badań. Straż Miejska w Rumi prowadzi systematyczne kontrole przydomowych kotłowni, reaguje na zgłoszenia mieszkańców. Tam gdzie wizytę składa ponownie pobierane są próbki popiołu. Jak mówi komendant Świrski – mandaty mają zmobilizować do poprawy, często nie pokrywają nawet kosztu specjalistycznych badań. Za spalanie odpadów grozi mandat od 20-u do pół tysiąca zł. Straż Miejska w Rumi w tym roku przekazała do zbadania 7 próbek. We wszystkich stwierdzono niedozwolone substancje.
