W Redzie pytają czy mieszkańcy chcą nazwę miasta w języku kaszubskim
W Redzie miejski samorząd pyta mieszkańców czy chcą by stosowano dodatkową nazwę miasta w języku kaszubskim. Konsultacje w tej sprawie rozpoczną się w poniedziałek i potrwają dwa tygodnie.
Zamiarem redzkiego samorządu jest umieszczenie w przestrzeni publicznej dwujęzycznych „witaczy” z nazwą miasta po polsku i po kaszubsku. Z miejskiego budżetu nie pójdzie na to ani złotówka, bo wymianę tablic sfinansuje Skarb Państwa. „Reda jest miastem wielu kultur, a kulturę kaszubską można zauważyć w życiu codziennym na każdym kroku.” – napisano w uzasadnieniu prowadzonych konsultacji. „Z roku na rok coraz więcej dzieci uczy się języka kaszubskiego, poznaje piękno ziemi, tradycję i kulturę Kaszub.” W Redzie był też 17. Światowy Zjazd Kaszubów.
Wypowiedzieć się w sprawie wprowadzenia kaszubskiej nazwy „Réda” mieszkańcy mogą za pośrednictwem formularza. Opublikowano go już na stronie internetowej miasta. Ankiety będzie można składać od 28 maja do 11 czerwca – mailowo na adres sekretariat@reda.pl bądź w wersji papierowej w Biurze Obsługi Interesanta w Urzędzie Miasta.
