W Gdyni zakończono rozbudowę żłobka na Witominie. Powstało 137 nowych miejsc dla najmłodszych Gdynian.
Inwestycja została zrealizowana w ramach Resortowego programu rozwoju instytucji opieki nad dziećmi do lat 3 „Maluch+”. Koszt inwestycji wyniósł 4 miliony 800 tysięcy złotych, z czego 1 milion 560 tysięcy złotych to kwota dofinansowania z ministerstwa.
– Bardzo konsekwentnie poszerzamy ofertę żłobkową – mówi Wojciech Szczurek, prezydent Gdyni.
Po rozbudowie placówka będzie w stanie przyjąć 192 dzieci, wcześniej było to tylko 55 dzieci. – W placówce będzie 8 zróżnicowanych wiekowo grup – mówi Agnieszka Welfle-Pobłocka, dyrektor żłobka „Koniczynka”. W Gdyni funkcjonują dwa żłobki gminne – „Niezapominajka” z siedzibą główną w Śródmieściu i trzema filiami oraz „Koniczynka” zlokalizowany w Chyloni oraz na Witominie. Łącznie publiczne żłobki oferują 524 miejsca dla najmłodszych mieszkańców miasta.
