Uważajmy na kleszcze – apelują stacje sanitarno – epidemiologiczne. Na Pomorzu z roku na rok rośnie liczba zachorowań powodowanych przez te pasożyty.
– Najważniejsza w walce z kleszczami jest profilaktyka – podkreśla inspektor sanitarny z Kościerzyny Grażyna Greinke.
Do najczęstszych ukąszeń dochodzi w lesie, a także na działkach i w parkach. Co trzeci z kleszczy jest zarażony i przenosi groźne choroby, w tym kleszczowe zapalenie mózgu i boleriozę z Lyme. Na tę ostatnią w województwie pomorskim w ubiegłym roku zachorowały 722 osoby, ponad dwukrotnie więcej niż jeszcze 3 lata temu. Na Pomorzu do ukąszeń najczęściej dochodzi w powiatach bytowskim i kościerskim. Aby ustrzec się przed kleszczem najlepiej podczas wypraw do lasu ubierać długie spodnie, wysokie buty, koszulę z długimi rękawami oraz nakrycie głowy zakrywające kark. Jeśli już zauważymy kleszcza w naszym ciele, należy umiejętnie go usunąć bez natłuszczania, a jeśli zauważymy wokół ukłucia rumień powinniśmy natychmiast zgłosić się do lekarza.
